Flying Lead Orientation Tool

The Flying Lead Orientation Tool, or FLOT for subsea nerds, is designed for handling Torque Tool during Flying Lead intervention. Designed for installation onto the ROV main frame and capable of tilting Torque Tool stepless from 90° downwards to 40° upwards. A rotation feature, +/-15°, provides additional flexibility for adjusting the Torque Tool to best possible orientation.

The FLOT is hydraulically operated directly through the ROV tooling system to operate the 3 functions:
- Tilt up/down
- Rotation 
- Latch 
The latch-feature is a fail-safe mechanism and will release the Torque Tool from the Class 1-4 interface bucket if hydraulic pressure is abscent.

A large effort has been made during the design to keep the weight at an absolute minimum. As result, the Blue Logic FLOT is among the lightest in the market with a submerged weight of only 36,4kg.

The FLOT is designed for Blue Logic's Class 1-4 Electrical Torque Tool, but due to replaceable interface mountings, any standard Torque Tool can be fitted.
