Pull Heads for risers and umbilicals designed and delivered by Blue Logic are now installed at FPSO buoy in Australia.
Based on our standard Pull Head design with integrated ValveStab, these Pull Heads comes with an additional hang-off feature to allow subsea storage of riser at the buoy in a period up to 2 years. The hang-off mechanism is easily activated by ROV once pulled through the buoy’s J-tube, and will hold the risers in position until the buoy is pulled into the FPSO’s turret during final hook-up.
The delivery includes a total of 8 Pull Heads for flowline risers and 2 Pull Heads for dynamic umbilicals. In addition, dummy Pull Heads representing all dimensions have been delivered for gauging the J-tubes prior to pull-in.
